Family Style

Hotel Familiar. It means so much more than just the American phrase "family style" could hope to convey. But after a brief stay at Hotel Costa Sol, the meaning becomes far more clear. It's more than just a hotel for families. The staff is part of the hotel family. And the guest becomes yet another part. But this really doesn't convey the whole story. The whole concept of "family" differs from culture to culture. And at the Hotel Costa Sol, you receive treatment like a loved and respected elder statesman member of the family, a role missing from most U.S. families.

Certainly, your continued patronage is not presumed. The staff delights in providing unexpected amenities, both large and small. From the bath and beach towels folded to resemble swans to the tables in the lobby to facilitate card and domino games amongst the guests. From the huge pool and kids' playstaff to pleasant, live Jarocho music performed in unexpected places. Need anything you don't readily find? Say something to the staff and they will do their utmost to promptly service your request!

So who is the benevolent patriarch of this large and very open "family"? His name is Lic. Filiberto Rodriguez Guajardo, and it would be difficult indeed to stay at the Costa Sol without encountering this affable and generous gentleman. Don Filiberto is everywhere, seemingly all at once. From his table at the restaurant to his office behind the desk, he oversees the entire operation and no detail is too small for his personal attention.

Located on the southeast end of the Boca del Rio hotel zone, the Hotel Costa Sol offers unexpected amenities in a variety of room and suite floor plans. The hotel facilities offer a very complete vacation experience. The hotel is located on one of the nicest beach areas in the Veracruz area. The huge swimming pool complex offers a separate area for children, including an artificial waterfall. Snack and bevarage facilities at poolside are in a large shaded area providing a break from the sun as well. Don't worry, sun lovers - there are plenty of chaises and tables in full sunlight, as well! Also for the children there is a modern, safe playscape in one of the large courtyads. The courtyards feature impressive sculptures reflecting the various cultures of influence on the Veracruz area. Indoor and outdoor areas are provided for guests wishing to play cards, board games, or dominoes. The atmosphere encourages socialization amongst the guests, making it easy to put together a group for a rubber of bridge. But if you want peace and quiet to get a little reading done, that's easy to acheive as well.

Playscape

Your home on Mexico's Gulf Coast, Hotel Costa Sol has everything you need for a memorable vacation. The in-house facilities are first-rate. The location on the edge of Boca del Rio viejo places it less than a block from the Boca del Rio Cultural Center with its museum of fascinating artifacts. It's an easy stroll to the Zocalo with its attendant historical buildings and nearby theaters. But should you desire day-trips further afield for Scuba, whitewater rafting or kayaking, spelunking, or mountain climbing, the staff will happily assist with the arrangements. The staff will also set up sightseeing tours to colonial as well as Precolumbian sites to be found almost everywhere around the city and around the state.

While all of the accomodations at Hotel Costa Sol are comfortable and well-appointed, there is a wide variety of floor plans and location on the grounds. If you have a large family, the villa is the perfect call. These bungalos feature two bedrooms as well as a hide-a-bed sofa, sleeping up to six. There's a full kitchen with all the utensils to allow a family the option of cooking any or all of their own meals. Hey, milk in the fridge and dry cereal in the pantry can solve a host of problems with kids!

In the newest area of the hotel, there's another solution for the needs of families and other groups. Adjoining rooms are arranged with a King bed in one and two fulls in the other. Some of the studio rooms are similarly expandable.

The standard room also offers a lot of space. Most have two full-sized beds while a few offer King-size. There are very generous storage area for your clothes and other personal items. The television, with over sixty channels, is quite large. The balconies offer lovely Gulf views.
